Any items too large to fit into your recycle bin should be brought to the Flagstaff MRF at 1800 E Butler Ave in Flagstaff. If you are unsure about a particular item, please call us at (928) 556-9900.
For about the same price as a cup of fancy gourmet coffee at one of Flagstaff's local cafes, Norton's curbside recycling program will help you save landfill space, conserve resources, save energy, and save water. All this in addition to the good feeling you'll get knowing that you're helping the environment!
Phonebooks are accepted at the Flagstaff MRF all year in our drop off mixed paper bins.
Glass can be dropped off at any of the following locations. Please remove all corks and metal caps/lids.
Norton Materials Recovery Facility -1800 E. Butler Ave. (Across from SAMS Club and Taco Bell) Drop off available during regular hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm and Saturday 8:00 am - noon.
Continental Little League Field parking lot: Turn East off Country Club Drive onto Old Walnut Canyon Road. The field will be on the left. The bin is located on the East side of the parking lot.
West Phoenix: 116 West Phoenix Avenue & South Beaver Street. Turn right on Phoenix Avenue. From South Beaver Street, turn right on Phoenix Avenue. The bin is located behind the bus transfer station in the north west corner of the public parking lot.
NAU/Pine Knoll Dr: The bin is located in parking lot P62B, in the southwest corner near disc golf course
Coconino Community College: 3000 N. Fourth Street
The following items are prohibited in recycling bins and at the drop-off location:
Yard waste/Dirt/Boulders/Christmas Trees
Styrofoam/Plastic Bags/Plastic Sheeting/Hoses
Medical Waste/Syringes/Biological waste/Medications
Refrigerators still containing Freon and other contaminants
